Mike Draper Golf Elite Development Program
Pathway
Whether you're a budding junior or a mature-age golfer with aspirations of playing at an elite level, our club offers a clear and structured pathway to help you reach your full potential.
A standout example of this pathway in action is current US college player, Corley McLernon. Corley’s journey began at Albany Golf Club, where he made headlines by winning the Men’s Club Championship at just 14 years old in 2019. With guidance from coaches Mike and Ian, Corley rapidly progressed, relocating to Perth to take the next step in his development.
Thanks to our strong partnership with Royal Perth Golf Club, Corley earned a junior scholarship and represented Royal Perth in the State Pennant competitions. At the same time, he attended Como Secondary College, home to a respected golf program. His hard work and talent saw him capture both the Junior and Men’s Club Championships at Royal Perth before earning a scholarship to join the prestigious US junior college golf team at Odessa College in Texas.
Corley continues to train with dedication and has his sights set on a professional career—he's definitely one to watch in the coming years!
