Round 3 Results
The Denmarkians were sitting pretty perched on a 2-1 advantage after Mark and Craig won their matches. Unfortunately, Ray’s wildcard score couldn’t make it 3-0 and Dan Northcott swept in with a handy 33 to steal the win from Mark and secure the overall win for his adopted team ‘All The President’s Men”.
Top of the Table ‘Amity Splitters’ were keen to keep their 100% win record intact. Unfortunately, they lost all three of the matchups leaving Craig Anning, their Captain and Wildcard, only able to salvage a point. They drop from top to 4th on the ladder, while a VERY triumphant Eddy and his Pin Seekers move up to 3rd spot.
Bruce narrowly came through for his team with his 31 pts as Wildcard just enough to steal the win from Greg and get Kerry’s Kings their first win of the season with a 2 - 1 victory. If Greg (or Lindsay) had managed just one more point, then their higher Wildcard score would have seen the Morning Players emerge victorious. Such a close match.
The Rough Riders seem to be turning losing into an artform! Despite having 2nd and 3rd place in the comp, thanks to awesome efforts form Peter Moir and Paul Murray… they still managed to lose! Peter (2nd place) was up against Michael Lane who finished, you guessed it, in FIRST place to get the win. It was enough along with a good Wildcard effort from Jeffrey to steal a win for the now competition leading Captains of Vice.
The Princess Royal Pirates were without a win coming into this match and they, especially Ascan, were mighty relieved to get their first W on the board. Riley managed to take out the reining Club Chimp and Michael 37 points as Wildcard came to Ian’s rescue and secured their maiden victory. Arrrrr!
